Il fenomeno di Gerry Scotti

Spesso guardiamo “Chi vuol essere il milionario”. Non facciamolo perche’ e il programma che ci piace di piu’ sulla tv italiana, ma guardandolo possiamo imparare le parole nuove in modo non noioso e e’ in onda quando mangiamo la cena a casa. Quindi spesso ceniamo con Gerry Scotti ;) Magari gli italiani no lo notano, ma secondo me Gerry Scotti e’ un fenomeno...

1) Gerry Scotti faceva/fa tutto: conduttore televisivo, attore, disc jockey e politico. Ma questo che noto io e’ che sopratutto faccia un sacco di pubblicitta’ sul Canale 5. Fa pubblicita di tutto: dei ombrelli, delle macchine, del lievito, del caffe’ e delle carozzelle per i bambini. Quindi Gerry Scotti e’ dapertutto. In polacco c’e’ un modo di dire che descriverebbe questa sensazione perfettamente: Domani apriro’ il frigorifero e ci sara’ Gerry Scotti :D

2) Gli ammiratori piu’ grandi di Gerry Scotti sono gli anziani chi lo guardano ogni giorno e gli spediscono (o lo fanno le sue famiglie) le lettere affettuose. E poi Gerry Scotti saluta gli anziani in onda, sopratutto questi che hanno il compleanno. L’abitudine e’ bello ma mi da l’impressione che “Chi voul essere il milionario” seguano solo gli anziani e noi due ;)

3) Invece Gerry Scotti piu’ degli anziani vuole bene le ragazze giovane e belle. Mi sembra che sta cercando la seconda moglie tra di loro :D Perche’ mi sembra cosi’? Ogni giocatrice bella riceve le stesse domande. Prima le domanda cosa fanno nella vita e poi se sono fidanzate o sposate. Negli ultimi giorni Gerry Scotti ha inventato la forma nouva della domanda. Ora chiede “Signorina, signora?” :D. Se la ragazza e’ bella aggiunge sempre “cara”, “bella” etc. e alla fine la bacia. Purtroppo per lui l’interesse non e’ reciproco. Direi che questo non mi sorprende molto... :D

4) La cosa ancora piu’ interessante e’ che a volte anche i ragazzi giovani ricevono la domanda sullo stato civile... La mia idea era che Gerry Scotti ha una figlia e sta cercando il “marito giusto” per lei... ;) Oggi leggendo gli informazioni su Gerry Scotti su Internet ho scoperto che ha solo un figlio... :D

We often watch the Italian version of “The Millioners”. It’s not the best show in Italian TV, but it’s a nonboring way of learning new vocabulary and it’s on air when we’re eating a dinner at home. So we often have a dinner with Gerry Scotti, who is the host of the show ;) I’m not sure if Italians notice that but Gerry Scotti is a phenomenon. It may be difficult to describe it if you have never seen the show with Gerry Scott but here are some things that I find particularly odd, interesting and surprisingly fascinating...

1) Gerry Scotti has been doing all the stuff you can imagine: show host actor, actor, disc jockey and politician. But most of all he’s doing advertisements. He’s advertising everything: umbrellas, cars, baking soda, coffee, calgon and pushchairs. Gerry Scotti seems to be everywhere/all over…In Polish there is an expressions that describes this sensation very well: the next time I’ll open the fridge I’m going to see Gerry Scotti there :D

2) Gerry Scotti’s fans are mostly elderly people who watch the show every day and send Gerry Scotti warm letters (or their families do). Gerry Scotti greets them on air, especially those ones who have their birthday. It’s a nice thing but gives me the impression that the only ones watching the show are elderly people, me and Gizem ;)

3) Gerry Scotti more than by elderly people is fascinated by young, nice looking girls. It seems to me that he’s looking for the second wife J Why? Every beautiful, female contestant is asked the same questions. Firstly they are asked about the occupation and then they’re asked if they have a husband or fiancé. Lately Gerry Scotti has discovered that he can also use an other question. Now he asks “Mrs. or Miss?” :D If the girl is beautiful he often addresses her as “my dear” or “beauty” etc. and kisses them when they’re leaving the studio. Unfortunately they’re not as enthusiastic as he is… Poor Gerry Scotti... But to tell you the truth that doesn’t surprise me much... :D

4) The thing that surprises me is that sometimes young men are asked about their marital status too… I thought that Gerry Scotti is looking for an “appropriate husband” for his daughter… ;) Today I was looking for some info about Gerry Scotti in the Internet and I discovered that he has only a son. Well... :D

Ciaooo a tutti!

Sono Gizem dalla Turchia, il prossimo mese io avrò 25 anni :) (IL 20 Marzo) Sono biologa ma prima della partenza, io lavoravo all'ufficio di traduzione, facevo la traduzione Inglese < > Turco quindi da un mese io sto studiando solo la lingua italiana perciò io non posso più fare traduzione :/, ho provato di scrivere qualcosa in Inglese per i visitatori che non sanno L'italiano..

Siamo arrivate circa un mese fa! Non ci posso credere perché non ho potuto capire come è passato il tempo! Mi ricordo bene come sono arrivata al Malpensa: Mi aspettava la vita nuova che si includeve le attività multiculturale in Italia!! A me piace molto vivere in Italia, le strade strette, i carnevali, i cibi, i posti storici, i vini, le musiche italiane.. In breve mi piace molto vivere come gli Italiani..lo SVE è una buon'opportunità per conoscere tutte queste cose..

Da un mese io vivo con Asia che viene dalla Polonia, da un'altra cultura, noi viviamo la nostra vita come Turca-Polacca e anche Italiana :) io sono già abituata alla vita in Italia, ormai io sono sempre in ritardo come gli Italiani :) anche mangio moltissimo soprattutto i dolci e le pizze di “Why Not” ad Arona, non mi sento bene senza prendere L'aperitivo e il vino frizzante ma il mio favorito sono gli Gnocchi :) Abbiamo già cominciato a lavorare, prima per me era un po’ difficile per capire gli italiani -parlano velocissimo :)- ma dopo ho cominciato a capire piano piano.. anche se io parlassi L'italiano bene, tutto sarebbe meglio! Ma ce la farò! Continuate a seguirmi!!

Hi,

I am Gizem from Turkey, I am sorry for my English because I've studied only Italian for a long time so I was a bit confused while I was writing in English.. I am a biologist but I had worked in a translation office before I arrived in Italy..

We have lived in Italy for one month! I can't believe the time is very fast.. Last month when I arrived at Malpensa Airport, I was very happy and tired because one of my dreams was real on the other hand I had been travelling since 5 a.m. I started to live a new life that includes many multicultural activities in Italy.. I love living here; streets, carnivals, foods, historic places, wines, Italian music.. I love living like Italians :) Thanks to EVS we have many opportunities.
For One month Our life is like Polish-Turkish and also Italian. I just have been adapted here, I’ve already started to delay like Italians, also I eat much especially desserts and “Why Not?” 's pizzas in Arona, I don't feel good without take “aperitivo” and wines but my favourite is “Gnocchi” That is to say our life is “dolce vita” :)

Sometimes bureaucracy could be boring particularly to have residence permit, like get up early (nearly at 5 a.m) it needs to have knowledge Italian, consequently it can ease. Anyway all the things for have a nice experience :)

In the coming months we are going to inform you what do we do? Did we do? And will we do? :D you can follow us from our blog..

Venezia

Siamo state a Venezia piu' o meno ventiquattr’ore e mi sono rinnamorata di questa citta'. L'ho visitata cinque anni fa, ma questa volta mi sembrava ancora piu' meravigliosa. Se non e la citta' piu' bella del mondo di sicuro e' una delle piu' belle. Dovunque guardi c’e’ il visto stupendo. Mi sembrava di essere circondata dai quadri dipindi dagli artisti piu bravi del mondo.

Camminavo le strade e giravo la testa tutto il tempo. Il risultato era che avevo mal di collo e la pelle del collo irritata dalla mia sciarpa di lana... Ma valeva la pena! Ci siamo state durante il carnevale quindi abbiamo visto non solo la Venezia bellissima ma anche tantissime persone nei costumi sulla strada. Tutti i costumi erano belli, ma a me hanno piaciuto sopratutto i costumi d’epoca. Non posso immaginare quando tempo bisogna per preparare questo tipo di treavestimento. Magari subito dopo il carnevale la gente comincia a prepare i costumi per il carnevale prossimo :D

Da Venezia ho portato una maschera e quattro dolci tipici di Venezia. Quindi e' ovvio che vado pazza per i cibi... :D Ma sono fiera di me stesso - ho resistito di comprare almeno quattro altri cibi e bevande (terrone, pasta secca con i carciofi, pasta secca con i mirtilli, Bellini) :D Avro' una scusa per ritornare a Venezia... ;)

Mamma mia! Parlo italiano!!!

Parlare italiano come lo fanno gli italiani e' il mio sogno piu' grande. Sono molto contenta di aver scelto Italia per fare lo SVE perche' qui posso imparare la lingua veramente velocemente. Non ho mai avuto questo tipo di esperienza prima. E' una cosa bella ma a volte stranissima... Da un mese parlo italiano quasi tutto il tempo. Per quanto riguarda altre lingue (inglese e polacco) l' ho usate in somma magari 7, 8 volte. Le prime due settimane facevo grande fatica di parlare italiano e avevo mal di testa costante ma devo dire che il mio cervello era come una spugna – assorbeva tutto subito. Quindi ho fatto grande progresso. Ora purtroppo non e piu' cosi facile impararare le cose nouve ma almeno il mal di testa e' scomparso. Ma ora ci sono altri problemi... A Venezia due ragazze americane ci anno chiesto in inglese di fargli una foto. Volevo rispondere in inglese, ho cominciato a parlare e ho sentito me stesso parlando in italiano! Ho provato ancora una volta ma di nouovo non ho riuscito a cambiare la lingua. Non e' cosi sorprendente perche' sia inglese sia italiano sono le lingue straniere per me. Anche se inglese parlavo correntamente prima di venire in Italia (ora non sono piu sicura... ;) ) posso capire che parlare due lingue straniere nello stesso tempo puo' essere troppo difficile per il mio cervello. Ma la cosa piu' terrificante e' che anche parlare la mia madrelingua e' diventato problema... Ho mal di testa parlando polacco con la mia famiglia su Skype e mi vengono le parole italiane invece di polacce. Da una parte e bello da l’altra strano, perche' solo in polacco posso essere veramente me stesso. Mi piace scerzare usando la lingua, giocare con le parole, inventare le parole nuove, usare i citazioni dai film, canzoni etc. Quindi quando finalmente ho l'occasione di essere me stesso parlando polacco non riesco a farlo perche' non mi vengono le parole e fatico molto per parlare... In italiano non sono ancora capace di essere me stesso allora mi sembra di perdere la mia identita'. Lo so che e quasi impossibile essere capace di parlare italiano correntamente dopo due anni di studiarlo e un mese di vivere in Italia ma pazienza non e mai stata la mia qualita'. Secondo me volere e potere :D Quindi qui imparo pazienza... Anche se non lo voglio.

Śnieg w Borgomanero

Co się dzieje we Włoszech jak spadnie śnieg? Kończy się normalne życie. Śnieg spadł na początku lutego i już kilka godzin później stopniał, bo było ciepło.

Jak na warunki polskie nie było go dużo, ale już ta ilość wystaczyła, żeby Włosi nie wychodzili z domu ("bo jest niebezpiecznie", "bo ulice są zablokowane przez śnieg") i żeby lotniska na północy zostały sparaliżowane... W Polsce to jest ZIMA i to z gatunku tych lżejszych. Tutaj to prawie kataklizm. I to nie jest żart! To są te różnice kulturowe o których się słyszy, ale w które się nie wierzy zanim się ich nie doświadczy...

Ech... A w Polsce nawet jak jest -20 stopni i śniegu po kolana to się jakoś żyje... :D

Aller Anfang ist schwer (Every beginning is difficult)

That's my first blog ever. I've been thinking for 4 days days about what I should write here. Basically the easiest thing would be to describe what has been happening during the last 4 weeks. But it seems impossible... :D There has been so much happening during that time. And it seems even more impossible when I think of describing it in Italian, cos I don't know the language well enough yet to express everything I want. The easiest thing would be to write in Polish but then it would be understood only by Poles and a few foreigners who were determined enough to learn this difficult language. Anyway to decided to use English and Italian here. Hope we're gonna be able to use two foreign languages in the same time...

My first thought when I left the plane was "Oh gosh, oh gosh! Everyone's speaking Italian! I'm in heaven!". You need to know that I really love that language, so to me the definition of heaven is "the place where only Italian is spoken" ;) Right afterwards I had to face the reality - in this case it was handling a 23kg backpack (plus hand luggage) and finding Francesca and Davide who I was supposed to meet at the airport. Fortunately I succeeded in both. Then we were expecting Gizem who arrived from Turkey really tired. We had the fabulous “marocchino” coffee at the airport and had to find the right elevator, which wasn’t as easy as it seems. “Ascensore” (elevator in Italian) was the first new Italian word I learned after the arrival…

When we left the building I was really surprised to see snow outside! Together with the “Polishlike” landscape it made me feel like home :D On the way to Borgomanero I thought that maybe if Italian landscape and Polish landscape look similar the countries are similar too. After a month here I know I was wrong. In fact, I couldn’t be more… :D

The place where we live (Borgomanero) is cute, but rather small (around 19.300 inhabitants) compared to the city where I was brought up (around 300.000 citizens) and the city where I was living for the last 5 years (more than 750.000 citizens). Anyway, when it comes to getting to know Italian culture Borgomanero seems to be the right place. It’s not a huge, cosmopolitan city. Borgomanero is definitely ITALIAN. And in fact that's what I've been looking for :)

Ciao a tutti! Siamo Gizem e Asia (Turca e Polacca), abbiamo 25 anni e siamo arrivate in Italia 21 giorni fa per partecipare al nostro progetto SVE a Novara. Su questo blog racconteremo della nostra vita in Italia, del nostro SVE e di noi. La durata del nostro progetto è 6 mesi e in questo periodo parteciperemo alle varie attività collegate alla promozione dello SVE. Collaboreremo anche con le varie associazione nella Provincia di Novara. La cosa più importante è che noi due abiteremo mezz'anno in Italia e sperimenteremo cosa vuol dire vivere in modo italiano. Hi there! We're Gizem and Asia - two girls (Turkish and Polish) both 25 years old who arrived in Italy 21 days ago to participate in our EVS project in Novara. In this blog we're going to describe our life in Italy, our EVS project and us. The duration of the project is 6 months and in that period of time we're going to participate in various activities connected to the promotion of EVS. Czesc! Jestesmy Gizem i Asia, ktore 21 dni temu przyjechaly do Wloch (Gizem z Turcji, Asia z Polski), zeby wziac udzial w programie EVS (Europejski Wolontariat Mlodziezy) w Novarze. Na tym blogu bedziemy pisac o naszym zyciu we Wloszech, o naszym projekcie EVS i o nas. Projekt bedzie trwal 6 miesiecy i w tym czasie bedziemy uczestniczyc w roznych dzialaniach zwiazanych z promocja EVS. Bedziemy tez wspolpracowac z roznymi organizacjami dzialajacymi w rejonie "Provinicia di Novara".
