Jack Nicolson speaks italian!

Did u know that? He does speak italian, but only in italian versions of his films and he speaks with a voice of an italian actor (always the same one). So do all others: Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman, Angelina Jolie, Meryl Streep... Basicly everyone who appears in the films showd in Italy has his/her italian twin voice. But in this case this are not identical twins which i particularly noticable in case of great, carismatic actors like Meryl Streep or Jack Nicolson. Italian Jack Nicolson's voice is ok, but only the original voice makes him THE Jack Nicolson. I feel sorry for all Italians who don't know English well enough to watch films in the original version because they will never get to know his real voice... And I DO think that the Polish way of dubbing films (there is one person who is reading everything in Polish) is better, because you get used to it easily, do not notice the polish voice any more and you can still hear the original voices in the background. Of course the Dutch way (original voice, subtitles in Dutch) is the best solution but not suitable for children and elderly. Anyway, Jack Nicolson has the one and only voice and the only way to feel what a great actor he is, is to watch the film listening to his real voice. Punto e basta!

  1. Dutch people knows English very well because they start since during childhood to see TV in English.

That's why all over the world English will be a second (and difficult) language, and for them is quite like mother language! :-(

I think it will be too late when also in Italy we will start receiving cartoon/film in original language with or without subtitle.
